Data accuracy

Live readings come directly from NOAA, the National Weather Service, NDBC buoys and other public sources. Stations go offline, readings can lag, and tide predictions don't account for wind-driven water levels. We show the source and age of each reading, but we can't guarantee that any reading is accurate, complete or current.

Ramps and access points

Ramp locations, fees and amenities are checked periodically but can change, and some map pins are approximate. Ramps can close for repairs, storms or shoaling. Confirm access, fees and water depth before you go, and follow all posted rules.

Our regulation summaries are a quick reference only. Texas Parks and Wildlife Department rules, including bag and size limits, closures and license requirements, change over time. The official TPWD Outdoor Annual and current rules are the legal source. If anything here differs from TPWD, follow TPWD.
